FAUNS (2008) This first exhibition I made in the Isidro Miranda Gallery in San Telmo. It lasted from 3 to 28 July 2008. About it, the lawyer Julio Sanchez wrote: "The crushed grass confirmed, there was fauns in the forest. They can be eavesdropping without they realizing that; the fingers rubbing their skin. They show their hairless bodies, barely golden by the sun, probably because they are more familiar to the night than the day. They show their hairless bodies, barely golden by the sun, probably because they are more familiar to the night than the day. Like those Indian chroniclers who draw the wonders and horrors of an unknown continent, Perrone allowed himself to paint the fantasy creatures and points to the relief of muscle, to the just open eyes while the head still rests on the forearm. Our painter does not recounts in the Rubens' way, in a huge raid, but the silence of the siesta and the special atmosphere of these beings that do not seem to concentrate on any task more that the event itself. Perrone's paintings retain the freedom to defy the laws of the mortal world and live a life different from others." |
